About Me
I am a content writer and journalist with experience in writing for marketing, news reporting, arts and entertainment reporting, and editing. I enjoy all types of writing, but find myself partial to journalistic work and content writing.

I prioritize the human experience as a driving force in all of my writing. From a journalist perspective, having humanity be the heart of the piece is the best way to tell a story. When it comes to my marketing and business experience, I like to tackle my writing from a similar angle. My writing process starts with exploring why people would want to read about a topic or how it will affect them, and then I take the piece from there.
I graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Journalism and Writing from Grand Valley State University. During my time there, I wrote articles weekly for the University’s newspaper, The Lanthorn. I also discovered my passion for writing for marketing through internships and marketing courses I took alongside the classes needed for my degree.
My love of writing and desire to better inform the public has contributed to my success in my current positions. I have successfully created monthly newsletters, and ran marketing campaigns centered around how to better inform people of the benefits to programs companies offer. I write monthly articles for ELIAS Animal Health that inform veterinarians on a new form of cancer treatment for dogs. I am able to spread awareness on local artists and small business owners through my articles for Current Magazine as well.

I am always looking for more opportunities to write. Reach out to araff0622@gmail.com to connect!
